Lesson Seventeen

Climb Tiandu Peak

1.On holidays, my father took me to Mount Huangshan and climbed Tiandu Peak.

2.I stood at the foot of Tiandu Peak and looked up.Ah, the summit is so high, above the clouds!

4.Look at the steep stone steps.The chains on the sides of the stone steps seem to hang from the sky.It makes people tremble!

5.I suddenly heard someone calling me behind me, “Hi, kid, are you coming to climb Tiandu Peak?”

6.I looked back and saw an old man, who was older than my grandfather!

7.I nodded, looked at him and said, “Yes, sir.So are you?

8.He also nodded and said, “Yes, let’s climb together!”

9.I tried my best to climb to the top of the mountain, climbing on the chain for a while, and climbing up with both hands and feet for a while, like a little monkey......

10.Finally, we climbed to the top of Tiandu Peak.

11.In front of the Jiyu Bei, my father took a picture of us as a souvenir.

12.The man pulled my pigtail and smiled, “Thank you, child.
