Lesson One

Egret

1. Egret is a delicate poem.

2. The coordination of pigment, the size of body, everything is suitable.

3. The white crane is too big to be stiff. Even the pink ibis or a gray heron is too big and unusual.

4. However, the beauty of the egret has been forgotten because of its commonness.

5. The snow-white scabby hair, the streamlined structure of the whole body, the long iron colored beak and the blue feet will be too long to be increased, too short to be reduced, too white to be plain, and too dark to be painted with black pigment. Everything is just right.

6. On the ridges of the field with clear water quality, there is a egret standing and fishing, and the whole field becomes a picture embedded in a glass frame.

7. The size of the field seems to be a dressing-case designed for egrets.

8. On a sunny morning, every time I see it standing alone on the top of a small tree, it seems unstable, but it is very carefree.

9. This is a hobby that other birds can hardly express.

11. At dusk, egrets are occasionally seen flying low in the sky, which is a kind of favor in rural life.

12. It is clear civilization, and it is vivid and alive.

13. Some people may feel that the fly in the ointment is that egrets can’t sing.

14. But isn’t the egret itself a beautiful song?

15. No, the song is too sonorous.
