Young’s Son

A family surnamed Yang in Liang State has a nine year old son, who was very clever. Kong Junping came to visit his father. It happened that his father was not there, so he called him out. He brought fruit for Kong Junping. There were bayberries in the fruit. Kong Junping pointed to the Bayberry and said, “This is the fruit of your family.” Yang’s son immediately replied, “I haven’t heard that peacock is your bird.”
