Lesson Twelve

Sitting In the Well and Watching the Sky

1. A frog was sitting in a well.

2. A bird flew by and landed on the edge of the well.

3.The frog asked the bird: “Where are you from?”

4.The little bird replied: “I come from the sky and have flown for more than a hundred miles. I am thirsty, so I came down to find some water to drink.”

5. The frog said: “My friend, stop exaggerating!

6. The sky is as big as the mouth of the well; need you really fly so far?”

7. The little bird said: “You are mistaken.

8. The sky is boundless, truly big!”

9. The frog smiled and said: “Friend, I sit here in the well every day and can just look up and see the sky.

10. I am not mistaken.”

11.The little bird also laughed and said: “Friend, you are mistaken. 

12. If you don't believe me, just jump out of the well and take a look.”

9.青蛙笑了，说：“朋友，我天天坐在井里，一抬头就看见天。

10.我不会弄错的。”

11.小鸟也笑了，说：“朋友，你是弄错了。

12.不信，你跳出井来看一看吧。
