Lesson Seven

Mom Is Asleep

1. Mom was asleep.

2. When Mom was coaxing me to take a nap, she fell asleep first herself and was sleeping soundly.

3. Mom looked so beautiful as she slept.

4. Her bright eyes were closed tightly, and her curved eyebrows were sleeping too, on Mom’s rosy cheeks.

5. Mom looked so kind as she slept.

6. Mom was smiling.

7. Yes, she was smiling, with her mouth and eyes.

8. It seemed that in her sleep, Mom had come up with another story to tell me later.

9. Mom looked very tired as she slept.

10.Her breathing was so deep.

11. Her black hair stuck to her lightly sweating forehead.

12.Outside the window, the birds were singing, and the wind was blowing among the leaves, making a rustling sound, but Mom did not hear it.

13.She had done a lot of work and felt tired and fatigued. She deserved a good sleep.
