Dragon Boat Festival Dumplings

1.On the Dragon Boat Festival, grandma always cooked a pot of rice dumplings and looked forward to our return.

2.Zongzi wrappers were green bamboo leaves, the stuffs were white glutinous rice and a red jujube in the center.

3.When my grandmother lifted the lid of the pot, the cooked zongzi would give off a nice smell.

4.We peeled off the leaves of rice dumplings and took a bite.It was very sticky and sweet.

5.The dumplings cooked by grandma were very delicious and had different kinds.

6.In addition to jujube dumplings, there were red bean dumplings and fish dumplings.

7.After we had a delicious meal in my grandmother's house, she would prepare a basket of rice dumplings for us to take back and share with our neighbors.

8.When I grew up, I learned that people's eating Zongzi on the Dragon Boat Festival is said to commemorate the patriotic poet Qu Yuan.

1.一到端午节，外婆总会煮好一锅粽子，盼着我们回去。

4.剥开粽叶，咬一口粽子，真是又黏又甜。

5.外婆包的粽子十分好吃，花样也多。

6.除了红枣粽，还有红豆粽和鱼肉粽。

7.我们在外婆家美滋滋地吃了之后，外婆还会装一小蓝粽子要我们带回去，分给邻居吃。

6.长大了我才知道，人们端午节吃粽子，据说是为了纪念爱国诗人屈原。
