Lesson Twenty

Gudong

1. Papaya was ripe.

2. A papaya fell into the lake from a high tree, "Gudong"!

3. The rabbit was frightened and began to run away.

4. The little monkey saw him and asked him why he was running.

5.As he was running, the rabbit cried, "A disaster is imminent ！Gudong is terrible!"

6.On hearing that, the monkey began to run with the rabbit.

7.As he ran, he yelled:"A disaster is imminent！Gudong is coming. Let's run away!"

8. That was a lively time.

9. The fox , the goat and the deer all began to run.

10. As they ran, they cried, "run for your life, here comes Gudong!"

11. The elephant saw them running and joined them.

12. The bison stopped the elephant and asked, "where is Gudong? Did you see it?"

13. The elephant said, "I did not see it. Everyone says 'Gudong is coming."

14. The bison stopped all of them and asked the same question. They all said that they did not see it.

15. Finally he asked the rabbit, the rabbit said, "I heard " Gudong "in the lake over there.

16. Rabbit led all the animals to the lake.

17. It happened that another papaya fell into the lake from the tall tree, giving out the sound,"Gudong"!

18. They all looked at each other and laughed.

1.木瓜熟了。

2.一个木瓜从高高的树上掉进湖里，“咕咚”！

3.兔子吓了一跳，拔腿就跑。

4.小猴子看见了，问他为什么跑。

5.兔子一边跑一边叫：“不好啦，‘咕咚’可怕极了！”

6.小猴子一听，就跟着跑起来。

7.他一边跑一边大叫：“不好啦，不好啦，‘咕咚’来了，大家快跑哇！”

8.这一下可热闹了。

9.狐狸呀，山羊啊，小鹿哇，一个跟着一个跑起来。

10.大伙一边跑一边叫：“快逃命啊，‘咕咚’来了！”

11.大象看见了，也跟着跑起来。

12.野牛拦住他，问：“‘咕咚’在哪里，你看见了？”

13.大象说：“没看见，大伙都说‘咕咚’来了。”

14.野牛拦住大伙问，大伙都说没看见。

15.最后问兔子，兔子说：“是我听见的，‘咕咚’就在那边的湖里。”

16.兔子领着大家来到湖边。

17.正好又有一个木瓜从高高的树上掉进湖里，“咕咚”！

18.大伙你看看我，我看看你，都笑了。
