The Lakeside Temple at Dawn

The uncommon West Lake in the midst of June,

Displays a scenery to other months unknown;

Green lotus leaves outspread as far as boundless sky;

Pink lotus blossoms take from sunshine a new dye.

A Quatrain

Two golden orioles sing amid the willows green;

A flock of white egrets flies into the blue sky.

My window frames the snow-crowned western mountain scene;

My door oft says to eastward-going ships, “Goodbye!”
